SG Mark-certified factory

The SG (safety goods) Mark appears only on products recognized by the Consumer Product Safety Association as conforming to the certification criteria established by the association. Products displaying the SG Mark are covered by bodily injury liability insurance for accidents resulting in injury or death in case of product defects. Kawamura Cycle obtained the SG Mark certification for our factories in July 1999.

JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) certification

As a result of an increase in demand for assistive products for people with disabilities due to the advance of an aging society, a third-party certification system began from the perspective of ensuring the safety and security of people’s lives.
Kawamura Cycle obtained JIS certification for assistive products for people with disabilities from Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories (JET), a certification body under the JIS mark system, following examination of product standards and testing on manual wheelchairs, the implementation status quality control at manufacturing facilities, and so on.
